Forge Powerlifting League (FPL) – Meet One (Sunday April 3rd)
📚 Meet one is officially in the books and what a huge success it was!
Fast Facts
⚡ 50% of our competitors were female
⚡ 50% + were first time lifters at a meet!
There were some very strong lifters at this meet and the standard of lifting was quite high.
🪄 The environment was much more exciting than any meet I have been to in a few years! It must be that Forge Powerlifting Meet magic from back in the day.
We at Forge are very excited to be able to give back to the sport of powerlifting at the grassroots level.
Our goal is lifters that come up through our league, if they so choose to, can compete at any federation and be able to:
1️⃣ Lift to a high standard (i.e. know all commands and be confident lifting with the commands – executing lifts to said standard – i.e. proper depth, etc.)
2️⃣ Not be intimidated at the sanctioned meets and become acclimated with the flow of a real meet.
3️⃣ Be able to experience powerlifting and how fun it can be in a relaxed environment.
🚫💣 NO one bombed out or had to worry if they had the right equipment.
At the FPL, we allow all lifters a grace on their first attempts. We also allow if you overdo your opener to go lower on your second – this is to ensure we all go home being able to finish a meet and feeling happy.
We hope to see everyone back again in July for Meet Two!
REMEMBER
💲There is $1000 on the line for the best lifter in the Forge Powerlifting League!
